Yarn: worsted weight - light blue, pink, red, brown
Hook: size D3/3.25mm

Snake
with light blue yarn
Rnd 1: work 6 sc into magic ring
Rnds 2-16: sc around (2.5 inches); change to pink
Rnds 17-22: sc around (1 inch); change to blue
Rnds 23-28: sc around (1 inch); change to pink
Rnds 29-34: sc around (1.5 inches)
Rnd 35: *2 sc in each sc* around - 12
Rnd 36: *2 sc in each sc* around - 24
Rnds 37-42: sc around (1 inch)
Rnd 44: sc2tog around continuously until 6; stuff head
Rnd 45: sc2tog around - 3
Bind off, weave in loose end

Tongue
with red yarn, chain 20; draw chain through "mouth" (may secure with small knot); weave in ends

Eyes
embroider French knot eyes

Notes:
- Insert wire to shape snake if desired.
- If you want to stuff the tail, you need to do it periodically because it is too difficult to do at the end.
